Snake Inspired Chainmaille Bracelets- Made to Order- Box Weave
These are MADE TO ORDER designs that I created after researching different snakes with banded patterns.
I have always been intrigued by reptiles and amphibians, so it only seemed natural to incorporate a few into my work! These bracelets are made with saw cut anodized aluminum and finished with a stainless steel clasp!
I modeled these after the following snake species:
Colorado Desert Shovel Nosed Snake: native to California. Each snake has a variation of red, white, and black. Sometimes there is very little red and the white is more of a yellow or cream. Sometimes the bands of red are larger.
Gray Banded Kingsnake: native to southwestern Texas, southern New Mexico, and northern Mexico.
Nelson's Milk Snake: native to Mexico. Choose between the Albino and Normal pattern! The colors for the Albino design are difficult to source, since one of our maille providers, Blue Buddha Boutique, has closed. :( This is a limited edition item.
Coral snake: native to our area of Texas, this snake is an elusive and shy animal. They do not always follow the "red touch yellow" pattern, but this is the most commonly known pattern of the Coral snake.
West Coast Banded Snake, or Coastal Burrowing Snake:Native to Australia from North West Cape southwards to Cervantes.
California Kingsnake: Native to California. Brown or Black variety, your choice! Brown is the variety shown.
Each of my anodized aluminum bracelets are hand crafted with care to ensure that the rings are completely closed. They are tested for snags, loose rings, sharp edges, and then cleaned up and packed for shipping! These are created with the ancient technique of chainmaille, modernized for jewelry!
